Mike Sheppard Joins Jaguars as Quarterbacks Coach

Mike Sheppard has joined the Jacksonville Jaguars' coaching staff.

That means the Jaguars' staff is full.

Sheppard, who spent the last four seasons as the wide receivers coach for the Cincinnati Bengals, has agreed to terms to become the Jaguars' quarterbacks coach, Tania Ganguli of The Florida Times-Union reported Saturday.

He becomes the team's third quarterbacks coach since the 2010 season ended.

Sheppard, who has been a quarterbacks coach for two previous NFL teams, also was the New Orleans Saints' offensive coordinator in 2005.

"We're all set, we're full as a staff," Del Rio said on Friday.

Mike Shula, the Jaguars' quarterbacks coach for the past four seasons, took a similar position with the Carolina Panthers in January. Todd Monken, the team's wide receivers' coach the past four seasons, replaced Shula, but left last week to become the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma State.
