The other skate has started to drop on the Ottawa Senators.Mike Fisher's trade to Nashville on Thursday came after many players had been anticipating moves. Although he was shocked by the deal, as most players often are, there is a sense of inevitability around the Senators these days.
"We don't want anybody in the room to get traded right now," said center Jason Spezza earlier this week. "But when you're as bad as we've been, you grow to expect it. I wouldn't say we're sitting around waiting for something to happen, we're definitely expecting something to happen. It could be anybody."
Turned out it was Fisher - for starters. As the Feb. 28 trade deadline approaches, the Senators, who have lost 11 straight games, know that this month will be the last for some, if not many, of them in the same uniform.
