His numbers are simply otherworldly. The last two weeks, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers has combined to complete 78 percent of his passes for 546 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions in leading the Packers to a pair of big playoff upsets.
For the sake of the wow, let's go ahead and throw in his career playoff debut last year. In a wild overtime loss at Arizona, all Rodgers did was throw for 424 yards and four touchdowns to go with one interception.
Rolled together, Rodgers has hit 73 percent of his postseason passes for nearly 1,000 yards, 10 TDs, one measly pick and a quarterback rating of 129.4. Oh, and did we mention all three games were on the road?
Rodgers not only has achieved the stardom once projected for him, but has bypassed whatever issues some franchise quarterbacks have when it comes to succeeding in the postseason. He hasn't, however, altogether solved a certain defense a few hundred miles to the south -- not that there's been a lot of pregame hype about the latest version of the "Monsters of the Midway."
Not that the Chicago Bears mind, either.
