Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was the focus of a friendly wager by Oprah Winfrey and Piers Morgan, whose new CNN show was set to debut Monday night.Winfrey declined to answer what she thought about Vick because she was angling to interview the convicted felon turned Pro Bowl QB. That prompted Morgan, a Brit who is taking over the 9 p.m. ET slot held for years by Larry King on CNN, to wager 100 pounds to see who would get to interview Vick first.
Oprah upped the bet to 200 pounds (about $317).
"That's not a whole lot of money," said Wolf Blitzer, who was previewing the show on "The Situation Room." "I would have thought a few thousand at least."
Morgan added that ABC's Barbara Walters has entered the fray as well.
