Ted Williams, the homeless man with a "golden radio voice" that became an internet sensation overnight, was offered a job as full-time voiceover man and a free house by the Cleveland Cavaliers."The Cleveland Cavaliers just offered me a full-time job and a house! A house! A house!," Williams exclaimed on radio station WNCI.
A rep for the team called into the radio show to make the job offer. The Cavs have confirmed the offer to FanHouse.
Williams quickly became a hit when the Columbus Dispatch posted a video on Monday morning of Williams panhandling on the side of a road. In the video, Williams showed off his impressive vocal skills.
Williams, a Brooklyn native, then explained how he trained to be a radio announcer before getting involved with drugs and alcohol, leaving him in his current situation.
