Tuesday night, Toronto Maple Leafs coach Ron Wilson picked up the 600th win of his coaching career, as the Leafs rallied in the third period to beat his former team, San Jose, 4-2.Apparently, Wilson was a bit too excited about the prospect of a milestone win coming against the team that fired him in 2008. The Toronto Star reports Wilson offered his players an undisclosed amount of cash before the game as an incentive to beat the Sharks. Such a move is a violation of league rules.
"If it is a violation, we will remedy it with the league," general manager Brian Burke told the paper. "We'll take the money back, do whatever the league tells us to do. We have not heard anything from the National Hockey League."
