PHOENIX -- John Wall may very well be the point guard of the future, but Steve Nash showed him that he's still one of the best in the game right now. Nash turned in a masterful performance with 20 points and 17 assists, while not missing a shot all night to lead the Suns to an easy 125-108 victory over the Wizards.First Quarter: Wizards 31, Suns 28
Say what you want about Flip Saunders, but at least he knows his team. Before the game, the Wizards head coach talked about Andray Blatche being a potential matchup problem for the Suns. He was right, as Blatche got going early and scored eight of Washington's first 10 points, and grabbed three rebounds over the game's first six minutes.
Saunders was also right about John Wall, when he said "he'll get a good rookie indoctrination" getting the assignment of guarding Steve Nash. Nash went 4-4 from the field with 8 points and 4 assists in the period.
Wall had an impressive stretch where he hit an open three-pointer, dished to Al Thornton for a layup on a fast break, then pulled up for a jumper in the lane to extend his team's lead to nine at 23-14. He finished the period with five points and three assists.
