Baylor (6-2, 3-1 in Big 12 play) got a huge game from sophomore quarterback Robert Griffin (right). He completed 26 of 38 passes for 404 yards and four touchdowns. He wasn't the only offensive star for the Bears, however, as they piled up 679 yards in total offense.
Josh Gordon caught seven passes for 141 yards and two scores. Kendall Wright hauled in six passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns.
Perhaps the biggest standout of the game was senior running back Jay Finley. He had only put together four 100-yard games in his career prior tbefore last week, with the high total being 121 yards in a game. Last week against Colorado, however, Finley put together a career game with 14 carries for 143 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Apparently he was only finding his groove, though, because Finley shattered his previous career-high with a whopping 246 yards on 26 carries. He found the end zone twice.
Baylor will look to keep things rolling next week in Austin, Tex,. where the Longhorns have now lost two consecutive games. The Bears last bowl game was a 10-3 loss to Washington State in the 1994 Alamo Bowl.
Kansas State (5-2, 2-2) will host No. 17 Oklahoma State.
