FanHouse stumbled across this incredible video from a German Cup game this week and thought we'd share it.The star of the show is Michael Stahl, a 23-year-old midfielder who plays for TuS Koblenz, a modest third-division club based in the picturesque city at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers.
Koblenz was hosting fallen power Hertha Berlin in a round-of-32 game on Tuesday. Hertha, the capital's largest club, went from championship contenders in the spring of 2009 to relegated in the spring of 2010. It's currently leading the 2. Bundesliga and is a safe bet for promotion.
The Berliners surely regarded this season's Cup as a chance to remind the Bundesliga powers that last season was a fluke, and that it would be contending again in 2011-12. But thanks in large part to Stahl, Hertha's Cup run is already over.
