Jake Delhomme Injured Again; Browns May Need to Add QB

Jake DelhommeJake Delhomme's return to the field was a brief one.

The Browns quarterback had missed three weeks with a high ankle sprain, but he limped back onto the field Sunday when Seneca Wallace went down with an ankle injury of his own against the Falcons. For his trouble, Delhomme suffered another ankle sprain -- this one lower on the ankle -- that will likely sideline him for a significant amount of time.

There's no word yet on Wallace's prognosis, but if he's not ready for Week 6's game against the Steelers, Cleveland will be forced to pick between two poor choices: the Browns could start rookie Colt McCoy, who was supposedly in danger of being cut during the preseason before showing significant improvement late in the preseason; or Cleveland could sign a street free agent (UFL stars Jeff Garcia or Daunte Culpepper?) and immediately insert him into the lineup.

Neither is exactly something you want to do against a Dick LeBeau-run defense, although the McCoy scenario is more likely.
